Horses Work Wonders!
Evergreen Global Development, a 501c3 Oklahoma Corporation, partners with Evergreen Baptist Church, also a 501c3 Oklahoma Corporation, to provide pastures and barns to house train and utilize horses in equine assisted therapy for children, youth, and adults with special needs including autism, Downs Syndrome, PTSD, and various behavioral challenges.
Our director, Rhonda Fears, holds a certificate from Spirit Horse International, certifying her to lead equine assisted therapy. She and her team of volunteers currently provide riding and therapy for two dozen students, some of whom were referred to the ministry by local psychiatric hospitals and professionals.
Riding is provided for a very nominal fee to the families, which helps cover the costs involved in keeping horses and barns in healthy and safe condition.
